My throat gets like cotton mout when i dip?

My throat gets like cotton mout when i dip ive been diping for a couple years and ive never had this problem does any one know why its happening or how to prevent it ?

My two guesses would be.

1. you didn't drink enough water that day

2. Maybe the Dip u buy is salty and drys your mouth, that's all i can think of.

i dont drink much water and i buy cope southern and strait and long horn mint

i do get allergies sum times but havent had them act up this year

It happens to me sometimes as well, I think it has to do with water intake on that day

it happens to me almost every time I dip. I dip Copenhagen wintergreen. maybe I don't drink enough water though lol

i tryed skoal xtra and it doesnt dry my throat out that much

it will happen with any dip usually, even if u are hydrated. If u dip u have to dry swallow and that's what ur experiencing and that's how it got its name. u ether get used to it or u dnt. It also helps to take a sip of something every here and there while dipping. For experienced dippers who aren't worried about swallowing a few grains of coarse. Then when ur done remember to replenish urself of liquids expecially if ur at work. I always have a drink handy and almost cant chew without it and sometimes wont even attempt to chew if I dnt have a drink....knowing ill be thirsty in the long run deprived of hydration from spitting for 30 mins. REMEMBER dipping is all about spitting sooooo stay hydrated my friend its that easy lol!!
