Cleaning yer Mud Jug

Now that i'm a proud owner of a few mudjugs, I'm wonderin how fellow mudjuggers clean'em out. I've got my method, whats yours?? Imma share mine, cause hey this post is started by ME. HAHA,

I'll take the top off of course, dump all the spit out out of it. Give'r a rinse then put it in the sink with the other dishes. My daughters chore is to do the dishes. I told her they're not dishwasher safe. They gotta be handled with some care. HAHAHA......they're damn near nuke proof.
I made sure to tell her to use hot soapy water. Rinse, then dry'em off with a towel. Not the same one used for the dishes, cause the wife bout flipped when I told her it'd be fine to do. So far, they don't smell. How do ya'll clean yours??



I guess I really don't clean mine, my daughter does!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

That's one of the greatest things bout kids, you can give'em chores!!!!

i run hot water, take the top off and let it sit under the hot water while i dump the mudjug out in the toilet and i clean the mudjug with water and dump it in the toilet and flush it down lol every once in a while I'll throw a little mouthwash in at the end to get it smellin minty but it usually just smells like wintergreen anyway haha sometimes ill take a small rag and wipe down the inside to get some of the crap out that builds up on the side

I dump mine and i rinse it with the garden hose cuz my mom hates it when i get chew grains in the food catcher thing of the sink, and then after its all rinsed good i take a paper towel and wipe it all down then i put baking soda in the bottom and that keeps the smell down

I rinse it and put it on the top rack of the dishwasher, it smells fine.  I sometimes will put a little mouth wash in it to keep it smelling fresh.
